Hon. Chief Benson Obire, Member representing Warri South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, describing his administration as a shining example of purposeful, visionary, and people-centered governance.

Chief Obire, in a statement commemorating the Governor’s three years in office on May 29, 2026, applauded Governor Oborevwori for what he termed “remarkable and transformational leadership” driven by the M.O.R.E Agenda, which he said has continued to deliver tangible dividends of democracy to Deltans across the 25 local government areas of the state.

According to the lawmaker, Governor Oborevwori has, within three years, successfully demonstrated that governance is not about empty promises or political grandstanding, but about practical solutions, inclusive leadership, and measurable development capable of improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

He noted that the administration has recorded significant milestones in critical sectors including road infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, rural development, agriculture, security, workers’ welfare, and human capital development.

Chief Obire particularly praised the Governor for the construction and rehabilitation of roads and strategic flyovers across the state, improved educational infrastructure, upgrading of healthcare facilities, prompt payment and implementation of the new minimum wage for workers, as well as the settlement of pension obligations owed retirees.

“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has distinguished himself as a leader with uncommon humility, courage, and sincerity of purpose. His leadership style reflects calm strength, accessibility, and an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Delta State,” he stated.

He added that the Governor’s inclusive governance approach has continued to unite Deltans irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious affiliations, while fostering peace, stability, and sustainable development throughout the state.

Drawing inspiration from the famous words of the late South African icon, Nelson Mandela, Chief Obire stated: “It always seems impossible until it is done,” noting that Governor Oborevwori’s administration has consistently turned difficult developmental challenges into visible achievements through determination and strategic execution.

“The M.O.R.E Agenda is no longer just a campaign philosophy; it has become a living reality that is transforming communities, empowering citizens, restoring hope, and creating opportunities for thousands of Deltans,” he said.

The lawmaker further stressed that the Governor’s achievements within three years have not only earned him the admiration of Deltans but have also positioned Delta State as one of the fastest-growing and most stable states in Nigeria.

Quoting Psalm 127:1, “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it,” Chief Obire prayed for divine wisdom, strength, protection, and continued grace upon Governor Oborevwori as he continues to pilot the affairs of the state.

He expressed confidence that history would remember Governor Oborevwori as a leader who matched vision with action and governance with compassion.

“Today, Deltans can proudly point to visible projects, impactful policies, and a government that listens to the people. Your Excellency has proven that true leadership is measured by service, integrity, and the positive transformation of society,” Chief Obire stated.

He concluded by congratulating Governor Oborevwori on what he described as “three outstanding years of impactful leadership and transformational governance,” while expressing optimism that the Governor would continue to lead Delta State into greater prosperity, unity, peace, and sustainable development in the years ahead.
