The Nigeria Police Force has declared controversial journalist, Tega Samson Oghenedoro, popularly known as Fejiro Oliver, wanted over alleged cyberstalking and defamatory publications on Facebook.
The declaration was contained in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Delta State Police Command, Asaba.
The bulletin, issued under the authority of the Inspector-General of Police, was published in an advertorial on page 45 of Vanguard newspaper on Friday, August 8, 2026.
According to the police, Oghenedoro is wanted in connection with alleged offences arising from posts published on a Facebook account bearing the name “Fejiro Oliver.”
The police said the alleged publications were made between May and July 2025 on the social media platform and are currently the subject of an ongoing investigation.
The bulletin identified Oghenedoro as a 38-year-old Urhobo journalist and provided a physical description of the wanted man, including his height, build, complexion and facial features.
The police listed his last known address as Cyrus Excel Estate, Abuja, while identifying Lagos and Abuja as places he was known to frequent.
The Delta State Police Command subsequently appealed to members of the public who may have useful information concerning his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, CID, at the Delta State Police Command Headquarters on Okpanam Road, Asaba.
A dedicated telephone contact was also provided by the police for information that could assist the investigation.
The declaration comes amid an ongoing police investigation into the alleged social media publications.
The case has drawn attention because of the prominent profile of the journalist, who has been known for his outspoken commentary on public affairs and political issues.
However, the police declaration does not amount to a conviction. The allegations against Oghenedoro remain allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until a court of competent jurisdiction determines otherwise.
The development is expected to generate further public interest as law enforcement authorities continue their investigation into the alleged publications.
