Urhobo Monarchs Unite; Pray for Edevbie’s Success, in the 2023 Gubernatorial race.

It was an outpour of prayers and best wishes from Traditional Rulers in Urhobo land, as one of the leading Gubernatorial aspirants in the 2023 election, Olorogun David Edevbie visited the monarchs as part of his efforts at reaching out and consulting relevant stakeholders.

A warm reception greeted Olorogun David Edevbie and his entourage at the palace of the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, Ogoni- Oghoro the first, in Ughelli South Local Government Area, as indigenes came out to receive their son.

Addressing the Urhobo Traditional Rulers, Olorogun Edevbie reiterated that he would continue to hold the traditional Institution in high esteem because of his conviction that the monarchs are integral part of governance, and sued for their prayers and support in his aspiration to become the Governor of Delta state.

He assured the monarchs that in supporting his gubernatorial ambition, they would be sending forth an academically qualified, experienced and well trained individual, to serve the state and bring the needed developmental changes.

The Governorship aspirant who intimated the people of his agenda for the state if elected Governor, said occupying the position would provide him the opportunity to serve his Homeland in a greater capacity, and enable him transform Delta state into a bride in the comity of states.


The Director General of the David Edevbie Campaign Organisation, Chief Clement Ofuani, and the Chief Executive Officer and founder of a leading electrical engineering company in Nigeria. Income Electrix Limited, Engineer Mathew Edevbie, said the time to change the narrative in governance had come, and Urhobo nation had the manpower needed for the task.

The traditional Rulers, including the chief host, HRM. Dr. Richard Ogbon, Ogoni- Oghoro The 1st, took turns to offer prayers for Olorogun Edevbie’s success.
