The Executive Council of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) received the shocking and unfortunate news in the early hours of June 9, 2026, that unknown persons broke into the NNU Secretariat and carried out a major act of vandalism and theft.

The unfortunate incident occurred the same day NNU visited the executive governor of Delta State in a high profile delegation at Government House, Asaba.

In a public notice signed by NNU Publicity Secretary Comrade Odanike Azuka Justice, the dastardly act was described as “shocking and unfortunate” and condemned as it was vandalism and theft of community assets.

The criminals reportedly burgled into the main building of Ndokwa House and carted away the Union’s 30KVA generator, fans, and other valuable properties belonging to Ndokwa people.

“We strongly condemn this criminal act and call on all sons and daughters of Ndokwa Nation to remain vigilant and assist in identifying those responsible.”: Odanike stated.

“These are not personal properties; they are collective assets of the Ndokwa people, acquired for the benefit and development of our community.” he added.

Odanike called on well-meaning Ndokwa persons with useful information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators  to promptly contact the NNU leadership or relevant security agencies.

He reaffirmed that the protection of our common heritage and infrastructure is our collective responsibility and expressed optimism that those responsible for the dastardly act would be apprehended and brought to book.
