The Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation and Chairman, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, Alias Tompolo has called on protesters in Warri Federal Constituency to sheath their sword and give dialogue a chance while challenging INEC to do the right thing in warri wards delineation of Warri Federal Constituency.

Recall that on Monday 8th June 2026, heavy protest broke out in the oil rich region over non-implementation of ward delineation order by INEC which led to the shutdown of 13 oil flow stations operated by three energy giants, Anglo-Dutch oil conglomerate, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), American-owned Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) and NESTOIL/NECONDE.

Speaking though his Chief Press Secretary in Oporoza Town, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West LGA, Delta State, Tompolo confirmed that there has been mass action by peaceful women and youths from our various communities in Warri Federal Constituency occupying oil and gas installations in the Escravos and Warri river areas.

The Tantita helmsman ceased the opportunity to join many well meaning Nigerians who have been calling for a peaceful resolution of the impasse. “I join all well meaning Nigerians to call for a peaceful resolution. The Ijaw nation has from time immemorial been known for their peaceful ways and we cannot deviate from our history.” he appealed.

“The current political situation arising from the failure of INEC to complete the delineation of wards in the Warri Federal Constituency and mass action must not be allowed to be hijacked or to degenerate into violence of any sort.” Tompolo added.

He therefore called for calm in view of a meeting of community leaders and other relevant stakeholders to enable them devise a way forward and seek peaceful resolution to the impasse.

Tompolo also challenged INEC to be committed to doing the right thing and restore the peace in Warri and environs, while calling on the people of Warri (whether Ijaw, Itsekiri or Urhobo) to be calm and wait patiently for INEC to do the right thing.
